Bijoux Couture ! Runway 8-Strand Faux Jade and Lapis Glass Bead Necklace This is an outstanding runway-type necklace, unmarked but clearly one of the top designers such as Hobe. The previous owner told me that it belonged to a runway model who wore it to the London opening of the musical "Hair," a performance given for the royal Family.
EIGHT strands of glorious faux jade and lapis glass beads, rhinestone rondelles, with a stunning clasp that is meant to be worn in the front. Clasp is done in a floral motif using the same lapis and peking glass stones, accented with tiny crystals. A heavy, substantial and beautifully-made piece. Outstanding Vintage Crystal & Glass Bead Necklace
One of the most superlative vintage crystal and glass bead necklaces I've ever had. Cut lead crystal beads in round and cylindrical shapes alternate with sea green glass rounds, faceted black glass rounds, tiny black and clear spacers. This double-strand necklace possesses a French appearance, although filigree slide-in clasp is marked "Gold Filled." 16 1/2" length. Excellent condition, good weight, still on original string but feels very secure. - $250
Miriam Haskell Purple Glass Beads & Gilt Caps Necklace
Unsigned necklace appears to be early Miriam Haskell, probably a Frank Hess design, and features clusters of purple amethyst glass beads with fluted and textured gilt caps. Beads are attached to brass chain, and the clasp is a gilt ball with invisible push-slot. This is a full and luscious necklace, measuring 16 1/4" length. Condition is very good with some minor darkening and tendency to verdigris on the tiny nail heads in the bottoms of the beads. - $350
