Ceramic figural raccoon pin is so cute, and a good size, measuring over 3" across. Circa 1970s-90s, this piece was made by Candace Loheed's RUBY Z company. Stamped Ruby Z on reverse; glued-on metal pin back is secure. Excellent condition. - $65

Circa 1980's, these ceramic post-style watermelon slice earrings for pierced ears would be a nice accessory for a warm-weather outfit, or a gift for someone who loves fruit themes. Cute little ceramic scatter pin features a box of Chiclets chewing gum, with a few colorful pieces of gum spilling out. Made by Flights of Fancy (1970-90) owned by Roz Simon and Wendy Niven. Stamped F of F on reverse. I have several similar theme pins available -- wear them in a group! Measures nearly 1 1/2" across. Glued-on pin back. Excellent condition apart from some mild surface crazing. - $20
Shoestrings Ceramic Zooboloos Pink Moose Bolo Tie
Can you field-dress a moose? Or do you have "pink fuzzy" feelings toward ole Bullwinkle? This cute whimsical ceramic bolo slide tie necklace by Shoestrings for the sporty gal depicts a moose head against a white polka-dot on pink background. This was part of Shoestrings' Zooboloos line with various animals. Moose measures 3 3/8" wide, 2 1/4" height, with total cord length of 31". Very good condition apart from some mild surface crazing, which is fairly typical for these ceramic pieces.
Shoestrings was based in the Bay area and produced whimsical ceramic jewelry, probably around 1980s/90s. The look and style is very similar to Ruby Z, Flying Colors and Parrot Pearls lines, though I don't know if there was a connection. - $80

RUBY Z / CANDACE LOHEED Spring Colors Ceramic Bead Necklace
Chunky ceramic bead necklace by Candace Loheed, under her Ruby Z label, in a color scheme of pale green with black squiggles, yellow, peach and black. This is an unusually long necklace for the Ruby Z line (35") and would be a great companion necklace to wear with other necklaces produced by Loheed's ceramic jewelry lines, as several of them use the same color schemes and bead types in the designs. For example, there are other beaded necklaces of varying lengths, as well as figural necklaces.
The beads are bold and large in this piece (green tubes are 2" in length, for example), and are strung on nylon filament for security. Signature bead is marked both Candace Loheed and Ruby Z, and is located near the metal screw-barrel clasp. Condition overall is excellent, with a bit of rubbing on one of the green tubes, and a few black spacer beads with tiny chips near the openings where they bump into other beads. - $90

1940s Copa de Oro Ceramic Turbanned Lady Face Pin ~ MAZIE
Meet Mazie! Spectacular ceramic face pin brooch, circa 1940s, by California Pottery maker Copa de Oro. These face brooches are similar to those made by Elzac, and this lady has the characteristic cut-out eyes of Copa de Oro pieces. Her turban is a forest green color with metallic gold painted stripes; white ceramic spirals are glued on to her headdress and neckline. 3" in height with two-part embedded metal pin mechanism (c-clasp). Original stickers are still on the back which include the name of this gal. Excellent condition apart from mild surface crazing, typical of this age piece. - $120
FLYING COLORS Ceramic Farm Theme Necklace
This wonderful ceramic whimsy necklace by FLYING COLORS features a farm theme, with pendants including a red barn, chicken, sheep, cow and pig. Irregularly shaped and sized green ceramic beads add to the folk art hand-made look. All elements are securely strung on wire/nylon filament. At 19 1/4" length, this can be paired up with one of several shorter necklaces also produced by the same company featuring one of the animals.
