Parrot Pearls Ceramic Blue Morning Glories Floral Necklace
1980s ceramic bead necklace by PARROT PEARLS features a floral theme, with floral and leaf pendants. The three central floral pendants each depict a trio of periwinkle blue flowers which I believe are morning glories. Although it's difficult to see from the photo, the clusters are three-dimensional with yellow stamens in the center. Pale green leaves are dimensional, with veining detail on the surface. Tubular and round beads are strung on nylon filament; total length is approximately 18 1/2". Parrot Pearls signature bead is located near metal screw-barrel clasp. (Parrot Pearls was owned and operated by San Francisco Bay Area artist Candace Loheed, who also created ceramic jewelry under the Ruby Z line.)
Condition is very good overall, with some breakage to the yellow stamens inside the flowers, mild fleabite chipping to a couple flower edges, mild fleabite edge chipping to some of the blue tubular beads. - $140
Shoestrings Ceramic Pink Pansy Necklace & Earrings
Circa 1980s, this fun ceramic pink pansy flower necklace and matching pierced earrings is by Shoestrings. This whimsical jewelry is similar to the Ruby Z, Flying Colors and Parrot Pearls type of ceramics. The pansy on the necklace centerpiece measures 2 3/4" with color-coordinated beads on leather string. 24 1/2" total length with lobster-claw clasp; marked Shoestrings on back of center flower. Post pierced earrings are still on original card and measure 1 1/2". Excellent condition. - $40

Fabulous, bold and big -- this Parrot Pearls ceramic whimsy necklace features two large anthurium flowers (red cups with yellow stamens), accented by green leaf pendants, round black beads with white polka dots, and solid black rounds graduated in size. This is one HUGE figural insect bug stick pin by Jewelry 10 porcelain artisans Cynthia Chuang and Erh-Ping Tsai. I'm not sure what this fellow is supposed to be as he has lobster-like pincers and eyes atop his head, but his antenna are curled and he has articulated legs. Fabulous black, blue, turquoise and goldtone color scheme; each leg includeds purple and amethyst glass beads. Bug measures approximately 3" and entire stick pin measurement is 3 3/4".
