Coro Geissman Style Enameled Owl Pin Brooch
Unsigned 1940's pot metal and enamel screech owl brooch has only slight variations to the patent design by Geissman for Coro, referenced in Brunialti's book "American Costume Jewelry. Wings are enameled in autumn colors of rust, brown, yellow, mint green. The body and head are set with pave-set clear rhinestones, and the head is attached so that it can turn this way or that. Condition is excellent with only a few inconspicuous spots of enamel loss. - $260
Carved Chocolate Brown Bakelite Swan Pin
Beautifully carved vintage brooch features a waterbird -- looks like a swan or maybe a heron -- in swimming posture with a backdrop of leaves. This brooch is a chocolate brown color, and guaranteed to be vintage bakelite (easily passing the Simichrome test, and possessing the distinctive bakelite fragrance). The carving is quite detailed, with feathers and leaf veins visible, and there is also a bit of openwork. Two-part metal pinback is embedded in the back. 3" wide; excellent condition. - $120

Victorian Hinged Bangle Bracelet ~ Swan Motif
This wonderful hinged bypass bracelet for a slim wrist dates to the late 1800's, and features a dimensional tri-color metal centerpiece with swan on water, with etched background of delicate reeds and cattails. Bracelet tube appear to be rolled-gold plate, with rose-gold swan. The centerpiece connector is inscribed on the back with a patent date of December 16, 1879. 2 1/8" inside width (bracelet is oval in shape); centerpiece measures 3/4" in height. Very good vintage condition with mild plating rubbing/wear in spots. - $135

This is a gorgeous example of the vintage French celluloid cutout pin, with a swan swimming among Grecian style columns and flower bowers. Very nice detail work, and a good size at 2 1/4" diameter. Attractive gilt brass frame, with prongs holding the celluloid piece in place. Not marked, but has the French trombone style clasp. Very good condition. - $120
Carved Lucite & Wood Figural Swan Pin 1940's carved lucite and polished wood brooch depicts a swan and is so substantial and beautifully crafted. Painted details on the face, light lines carved into the reverse, subtle yellow tinting on the foot. Height is just over 3" tall. Metal c-clasp pinback is embedded into the back. There is a remnant of a sticker on the back which says "Souvenir Estes Park." (Estes Park is located in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado.) Condition is excellent. - $145
