What fun! This ceramic snake pin would be a wonderful ziggy-zaggy shape on your sweater or jacket -- or maybe even dress up a hat or tote bag. There are other jewelry items produced by Candace Loheed's Ruby Z company that fit into this theme, and in fact a group of jewelry with a similar look and theme was produced by Flying Colors around the same time (1980s/90s). Unusual carved wood figural pin, circa 1940s, is that of a giraffe head. Painted eye and mouth, leather ears and real fur mane. Love the carving to show off the long neck! Early Hattie Carnegie Sterling Silver Capricorn Zodiac Pin
Fantastic figural brooch is marked Sterling, and is attributable to Hattie Carnegie based on non-sterling signed versions in this same series. The patent for pins in this series was registered in 1944 by designer Hugo de Alteriis. Beautifully crafted, with classical Greco-Roman figure holding the horn of the ram, with a faceted ruby red glass stone set into a star shape, and the word Capricorn incised in a banner at the bottom. 2" across; excellent vintage condition with minimal scratching/plating nicks observable on reverse under magnification. - $240

Adorable 1940s ELZAC Ceramic & Fur LION Face Pin
One of the sweetest 1940's California Pottery ceramic animal pins I've ever had, no doubt made b ELZAC. Light brown ceramic glazed face the sweetest, most angelic painted expression with green on the closed eyelids, long eyelashes, a cute red nose and mouth. Decorated with a huge mane of real fur securely affixed to the back, and a leather bow at the neck which matches the green of the eyelids. Metal c-clasp pin back is affixed to a wood oval disc on reverse. Cat face measures about 2" total height; nearly 6" total height with mane factored in. Condition is excellent with paint intact, clean back, very light surface crazing to tan glaze. - $200

Vintage Enameled Tiger Head Necklace & Earring Set
1970s/80s figural necklace and pierced earring set is unmarked but created in the style of Kenneth Jay Lane. Necklace centerpiece consists of an enameled metal tiger head holding a triangle in his mouth; plastic beads continue the color scheme of creme, orange and black. 17" length with slide-in clasp. Matching 1" earrings have posts for pierced ears; these may have been converted from clips though I'm not certain about that. The set is vintage and has been gently worn with mild metal plating wear to bead spacers and back of pendant. Front looks fine. - $40

This guy has a rounded had and body set with metallic gold-colored rhinestones, goldtone metal whiskers, and clear rhinestones set into the ears, collar and tail. The tail is attached to a spring so that it trembles with wearer's movement. 2" height; very good condition with all stones present and in good color. - $50
Elzac California Pottery Ceramic & Fur Lion Pin Brooch
Huge and adorable! This sleepy figural lion face brooch is one of the best Elzac pieces I've come across. Unmarked as were most of the Elzac animal and face pins, with the characteristics of this famous 1940's California Pottery company. Beige ceramic face with painted closed-eye features, mint green suede bow to match the eyes and real fur for the mane. Wood backing with inset metal pin back. The ceramic face itself measures nearly 2" in height, and the voluminous mane adds a great deal more circumference -- 5" or more. Excellent condition. - $200

This wonderful figural dog was produced in a variety of color combinations, and this fellow features metallic gold rhinestones accented with clear mirrored chatons and marquises, and tiny red crystals for the eye and nose. Gold-tone metal setting; very solid construction. Measures approximately 2" in height and width. Excellent condition. - $65
