1940's Lucite Figural Pin ~ March Hare or Peter Rabbit
What an amazing and unusual piece! 1940's vintage lucite figural pin is carved front and back, with tinting and painting on the reverse. He could be the March Hare ("I'm late I'm late I'm late!!") or he might be Peter Rabbit in that waistcoat. 3 1/4" height. Metal pinback is set into the plastic. Excellent condition. - $200

Contemporary figural pin by J.J. (Jonette Jewelry) features a pewter alligator with google-eyes and a hinged mouth that opens to reveal a bird. This shaggy Shetland sheep dog pin in ceramic, circa 1980's, was made by Ruby Z and is still attached to the original card. (The Ruby Z logo is hidden beneath his head.) He measures 2 3/4" across, 2 1/2" height. Some mild surface craze lines to the glaze, as seen in the photo, though this is fairly typical for these items. - $60

Superb and unusual ceramic theme necklace from FLYING COLORS features the beloved counting rhyme "This Little Piggy Went to Market."
This little piggy went to market;
This little piggy stayed home;
This little piggy had roast beef;
This little piggy had none;
This little piggy cried wee-wee-wee all the way home."
This piece is depicted in Ann Pitman's book Inside the Jewelry Box: Volume 3. All five pigs are represented, as well as the directional signs "Market" and "Home." (I love the stay-at-home piggy, who is reading "Hamlet.") The largest pig measures about 2" height, and the total length of the necklace is 18". Large irregularly shaped turquoise blue beads are strung on sturdy wire filament. Screw-barrel clasp closure. Mark appears on back of one of the pigs. Condition is excellent! - $400
Vintage Monkey In Palm Tree Pin ~ Blue Rhinestones
Circa 1940s/50s, this whimsical figural brooch features a monkey climbing in a palm tree, his outstretched hand reaching for a coconut. Blue rhinestone accents are set into several fronds. The monkey is goldtone while the tree is silvertone base metal. 2 3/4". No maker's marks, but has stamped circles on reverse which I've seen for other figural pins. Very good condition with a touch of plating wear in places, and a couple very small pinpoint holes in the base of the trunk (although I'm not sure whether this could have been intentional as part of the design). - $70

This 1980's ceramic figural necklace features a very detailed and dimensional kitty cat, looking resplendent in his big blue bow. Clover-shaped beads are painted with little things kitties like: fish, milk, mousie, and another kitty! Large irregularly shaped sky blue beads are strung along wire filament, with screw-barrel clasp closure. Cat measures slightly over 2" wide; total necklace length is 16 1/2". Vintage 1940's ceramic figural horse pin was made by the California Pottery company Elzac. He stands just over 3", from the top of his lucite mane to his hooves. One piece of yellow lucite is applied to the back, producing a squiggly mane and tail. Felt and leather ear. Excellent condition. - $120
Hattie Carnegie Figural Green Elephant Howdah Pin
Unsigned Hattie Carnegie brooch pin features an elephant fitted with elaborate howdah seat and head decoration. These pins were made with different colored elephants, the body of which is a kind of resin, and is one of Carnegie's best known designs. Metal is goldtone; very textured and detailed, set with clear rhinestones and a faux pearl. 2 1/8" height, 2" width. Excellent condition. - $380

KJL for Avon Rams Head Necklace & Clamper Bracelet
Kenneth Jay Lane (KJL) for Avon rams head necklace and spring-loaded bracelet is a popular design, and this set is in wonderful condition. 32" necklace features two strands of black plastic beads and fluted goldtone metal spacer beads; two rams heads is the focal point and the clasp is hidden beneath. The heads are goldtone metal, very nicely detailed, with green rhinestone eyes and clear rhinestones set into the horns. Spring-loaded bracelet is solid metal with goldtone plating and textured surface; the rams heads are the same as the necklace. Both pieces are marked K.J.L. for Avon, and are in excellent condition with all rhinestones intact and no wear to plating. - $120

Shoestrings Ceramic Zooboloos Pink Moose Bolo Tie
Can you field-dress a moose? Or do you have "pink fuzzy" feelings toward ole Bullwinkle? This cute whimsical ceramic bolo slide tie necklace by Shoestrings for the sporty gal depicts a moose head against a white polka-dot on pink background. This was part of Shoestrings' Zooboloos line with various animals. Moose measures 3 3/8" wide, 2 1/4" height, with total cord length of 31". Very good condition apart from some mild surface crazing, which is fairly typical for these ceramic pieces.
Shoestrings was based in the Bay area and produced whimsical ceramic jewelry, probably around 1980s/90s. The look and style is very similar to Ruby Z, Flying Colors and Parrot Pearls lines, though I don't know if there was a connection. - $80
JOMAZ Goldtone & Rhinestone Figural Lion Pin (As Is)
Signed JOMAZ figural lion pin brooch is so cute! He has a harmless, almost cuddly look to him, with big forepaws splayed out in front, and wide appealing eyes. Face is set with clear rhinestones, and mane is done in an openwork metal style. 1 1/2" height. He looks to have been well-loved, with plating wear/loss to high points, such as the nose tip and mane ridges, but still has some wearable life left. Pinback mechanism is in good working condition, with locking clasp. - $10
